“Safety first!” It’s heard in a lot of companies, maybe in yours too. But is this really true? Of course no one would ever deny the importance of safety, but is it the number 1 priority? Even though it’s said a lot, this statement is probably not true. It’s natural to us and here’s an everyday example: when you’re in a hurry to get somewhere on time, you are more likely to cross a street while the traffic lights are still red to save time. You stop at a traffic light when you’re not in a hurry. The to stop or not to stop decision is made based on whether you are on time or not.
